This is an urgent message from the Justice for Farmworkers Campaign thru Rural Migrant Ministry and the Workers’ Justice Center. “Despite passage in the Assembly last month and an unprecedented number of Senate sponsors, Senate Republican Leader Dean Skelos has refused to bring the bill to the floor where we believe we have the votes necessary for passage. This is simply unconscionable and we must do everything in our power to ensure a floor vote. We are asking each of you to join us in Albany for a vigil in front of Senator Skelos’ office and to stand with us outside of Senate Chambers so that together we can send a loud and clear message that we have fought too long for humanity and dignity and will not walk away now. Join us for one last stand so that New York’s farmworkers do not need to wait yet another year for justice to be served. We CAN make a difference.
Location: Outside of the Senate Lobby (3rd Floor – Western Side) Capitol Building Albany, NY
Date/Time: This Thursday, June 20, 2013, 1:00 pm – 3:00pm
