Join us today, at the start of Farmworkers awareness week, in Binghamton NY – Screening of the documentary “Food Chains” followed by a talk with Mr. Daniel Larios, father of Dani Larios, the victim of unsafe working conditions at Root Brothers Farm in Albion, NY. His son died on August 29, 2014. Mr. Daniel Larios is in Upstate NY to speak up for workplace accountability, OSHA oversight at farms and to speak in memory of his son for the safety of all workers. We will also talk about local organizing efforts from agricultural workers thru the “May First Agricultural Workers’ Committee, a joint project of the Workers’ Center of CNY and the Worker Justice Center of NY.
