After Congress’ Failure To Pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform, President Obama Is Set To Announce Executive Action to Grant Administrative Relief To Millions Of Immigrants

Syracuse, NY- With President Obama poised to announce changes to immigration systems, immigrant leaders, community members, and allies will gather to celebrate a historic victory that will ensure millions of immigrant families and workers can live, work, and stay in the country they’ve called home for years.

We know that the President’s action is a result of the tireless organizing by our communities demanding justice. Across the country immigrants, advocates and their allies have written letters, fasted, shared their stories, risked arrest and made countless other sacrifices to show the President how urgent the demand for executive action is.

The Workers’ Center of Central New York will host a watch party of the President’s speech this THURSDAY and key leaders and impacted families will discuss what these changes will mean in their day-to-day lives.
